Candy Gauldin

Mrs. Gauldin and her husband Wyatt were asked in 1998 to direct the
FISH food pantry. The FISH program has operated in the Northmont Community for over
40 years. During the Gauldin’s leadership the food bank has grown from operating out of
four metal cabinets to its two current buildings located at 265 Smith Drive in Englewood.
Candy has continued to direct the FISH program without any request for monetary
compensation even after the passing of Wyatt five years ago. Candy writes a regular
article for the Englewood Independent requesting food and/or clothing for the FISH
organization. She acts as a liaison to various service organizations in the Northmont
community such as; Community Table, Back to School Program, Christmas Store, and
an Adoption program. She also assists other food pantries in the Dayton area,
coordinated the distribution of emergency food boxes to families in need on a weekly
basis, provides food collection barrels to area businesses, and volunteers over 40 plus
hours a week coordinating and directing the FISH program.
